THE PROJECT
Disney World Beat is a dynamic concert tour that reimagines beloved Disney music through the sounds of jazz, Latin, swing, big band, pop, soul, and R&B. Featuring a powerhouse big band and four vocalists, the production brings fresh, imaginative arrangements of Disney classics to audiences across Japan.
The 2026 tour traveled to 16 cities throughout Japan, including two sold-out performances at Tokyo International Forum, each seating approximately 5,000 guests. With vibrant musical arrangements, theatrical staging, choreography, and audience interaction, Disney World Beat offers a fresh and exciting take on the magic of Disney music.
MY ROLE
As a Creative Director of Disney World Beat, I play an integral role in bringing each year's production to life, from initial concept development through rehearsals and final performances. Working collaboratively with the creative team & production team, I help shape the show's creative vision while overseeing many of the artistic elements that make each tour unique.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Development: Show concepts, annual themes, setlist development, and overall artistic vision
Casting & Vocal Direction: Singer auditions, casting, vocal arrangements, and rehearsal direction
Choreography & Staging: Creating dance, blocking, and theatrical staging for the vocalists
Costume Direction: Developing costume concepts, color palettes, and coordinating design approvals
Audience Engagement: Developing interactive moments and audience participation experiences
Production Collaboration: Working closely with producers, musicians, and the creative team throughout development and rehearsals
